Blue Ocean is pleased to announce they will be providing customer service and technical support to members of Paula Abdul’s new talent discovery venture, AuditionBooth.com. Linking aspiring entertainers with major casting directors, studio executives, and music producers, AuditionBooth will allow users to showcase material demonstrating their abilities and personalities while directly responding to online casting calls.

CCL Group Supports Mental Health in Nova Scotia

As supporters of community and of strong mental health, CCL Group and its member companies, Blue Ocean Contact Centers and Colour, are pledging a $50,000 donation to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. In Nova Scotia, one in five people experience a form of mental illness during their lives. Some can face a daunting transition from hospital and institutional-based care to living independently in the community. This leadership gift will support the Foundation’s Opening Minds Capital Campaign which will fund programs and services for a new model of community-based care for those living with mental illness in the province. ... Colour Campaigns Recognized at ICE Awards

Colour took home several accolades for two exciting campaigns this year at Atlantic Canada’s advertising industry awards, the ICE Awards, held recently in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
 
Colour's work for the Laing House Masquerade Ball was awarded a silver trophy for Best Public Service Print – Outdoor, Out of Home Single/ Campaign. Colour worked with the theme "A Night in New York" to design the many pieces that supported the campaign. The concept behind the creative was working with the magical sense of the event overlaid on everyday life. Blue Ocean's Poly-Lingual Recruitment Pays Off

The training room hums with the chit chat of several slightly nervous people all starting their first day on a new job. Today, though, in the Blue Ocean offices in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the chatter may be ordinary; the assortment of languages is anything but.  Two young women laugh as they discover that they both grew up in Havana and both honed the exceptional Italian they’re speaking now in the Cuban hospitality industry.
