Colour was the only Atlantic Canadian marketing and communications agency to win Gold at Marketing Magazine’s 2008 Media Innovation Awards. Colour’s Landlord Lou campaign for Killam Properties, which saw the common bathroom plunger as a media opportunity, received top honours in the category of Targeted Marketing - Young Adults.
Held at a ceremony in Toronto, the Media Innovation Awards recognize the planning and buying of media in Canada’s marketing and advertising sector.
“The Landlord Lou campaign featured a combination of guerilla and online tactics designed to drive the conversation – both online and offline – about Killam Properties,” said Carman Pirie, Colour’s head of social media who led the campaign. “We’re very proud of our partnership with Killam and of the work we’ve been able to do together. Killam was willing to take a new direction for their marketing plan with this campaign, and it’s resulted in great success for them.”
The campaign resulted in record-breaking occupancy rates in student apartments and favourable notice from Bay Street investment analysts for Killam Properties. |
