Mavis Drummond dove into her job at Blue Ocean in July 2007. Here she got her start in the contact centre industry, and she has been mastering her customer service skills ever since.
As a Customer Care Specialist, Mavis answers web and telephone customer inquiries, providing information and support to satisfy customer needs. She connects Blue Ocean's clients to their customers everyday, helping to build memorable experiences and customer loyalty. Mavis thinks the coolest thing about her job is the team she works with every day. She says her team is like a family within Blue Ocean, all motivating one another to meet project goals. Mavis also thoroughly enjoys her managers : "From Coaches to Coordinators to Senior Project Managers, there is a sense that we're all in it together."
There is one skill that, above all others, Mavis has learned to value in her role at Blue Ocean: Patience. The old adage ‘patience is a virtue’ is especially true in the contact centre world, and Mavis is a firm believer in its powers. "Once you learn to be patient, the rest is gravy!"
When asked what she liked most about Blue Ocean, Mavis alluded to Blue Ocean as an equal opportunity employer who embraces diversity. She also commended the company for its flexibility and professionalism. “We are treated like adults, but also people who like to have fun”, says Mavis. And fun she has! Mavis is an avid reader, a music enthusiast (all types can be heard on her iPod), and above all, she loves being with her family. She is a self-proclaimed social butterfly who gets along with most everyone she encounters. We couldn’t agree more!
