This year, generous payroll deductions were complemented by a series of fun events such as the ever-popular mini golf tournament, The Price is Right-inspired Plinko game, a home-made Eggs Benny Breakfast (prepared by some of Colour's finest), and various raffles offering prizes ranging from a day off with pay to almost $200 in cash.
The eventful week culminated with an online auction, which saw employees scheming or, as they would claim "strategizing" to outbid their co-workers to win a hybrid of fantastic prizes. Everything from an exotic getaway to Metro Centre Skybox tickets to stain-glass art was auctioned off, raising over $3000 for United Way. At the end of the day, the friendly competition was all in good fun, and for a very good cause.
Thank you to everyone who donated time, money, and prizes to CCL Group's 2008 United Way Executive Campaign. The level of involvement and generosity was fantastic - a testament to the type of people CCL Group employs. You all did CCL Group and the Metro United Way proud!
