Growth in Colour’s social media practice is seeing the Atlantic Canadian marketing and public relations agency make a number of changes. Social media practice leader Carman Pirie is now Colour's Vice President, Social Media.
“Social media is influencing every aspect of the communications business,” said Robert Batherson, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, for Colour. “Over the last two years, Carman has emerged as a thought leader in social media, attracting new business from existing clients, as well as new clients from outside of Atlantic
Canada.”
Pirie joined Colour as a principal and partner in 2006, creating Colour’s social media practice in 2007. Pirie led the development of the Landlord Lou campaign for Killam Properties, which won seven ICE Awards in the fall of 2008. The campaign also won gold at the national Marketing Magazine’s 2008 Media Innovation Awards, in the Young Adults category. Prior to joining Colour, Pirie built a successful career in marketing and communications that included positions with Office Interiors and NB Power, as well as the House of Commons and New Brunswick’s Legislative Assembly. Pirie is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick. |
