BLUE OCEAN CONTACT CENTERS MAKES

FINALS FOR INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRY AWARDS

ContactCenterWorld.com has announced that Halifax based Blue Ocean Contact Centers is a 2009 finalist for “Best Large Contact Centre in the Americas.” 

The award recognizes both in-house and outsourced contact centers with greater than 250 agents in North, Central and South America.  Other well-known finalists included Humana Inc., the US based health and benefits firm and Whirlpool Appliance’s Customer eXperience Center.  There are a total of five finalists.

"These are the most prestigious awards in the contact center industry,” said Blue Ocean’s Senior Vice-President Andrew O’Brien. “Finalists are selected based on company strategy, technology, products, recruitment and training programs, facilities, employee satisfaction and performance.”

Raj Wadhwani, President of ContactCenterWorld.com announced that Blue Ocean has been selected to make a presentation to the organization’s Conference for the Americas to be held in Toronto in June. “We have already honored this excellent company as Member’s Choice Best Outsourcer in the Americas based on client testimonials in 2006,” Mr. Wadhwani said.

Blue Ocean, a member of CCL Group of Halifax, is also a finalist for the Best Internal Technology Solution at the Awards Program.  This recognizes the Tourism Customer Contact System (TCCS) developed last year on behalf of longtime client, Tourism Nova Scotia.  This system provides sophisticated management capabilities for tourism information across many of Nova Scotia’s contact channels.

"Our in-house technology group, the commitment of the Province’s tourism officials, and our partners allowed us to develop an experience which enhances the Nova Scotia brand," Mr. O’Brien stated.

Award winners will be announced on June 4.  This year’s winners will go on to compete for the World Awards in Las Vegas against winners from Europe, the Middle East/Africa and Asia Pacific.
