Colour continued to win big this year at the banner event for Atlantic Canada’s advertising industry - the ICE Awards. The ICE Awards is an annual gala celebrating the best of creative advertising in Atlantic Canada. Colour tied this year for the most wins, taking home 14 awards in total, 3 of which were Gold - the most of any agency.
The biggest Colour accolades came for the Landlord Lou campaign, developed for residential property management client, Killam Properties. Designed for various mediums, the Landlord Lou campaign won awards for Best Online Video, Best Website B2C, Best Non-Traditional Guerilla Campaign, the Craft Award for creative copywriting as well as the Fearless Client Award for Killam. Another big winner for Colour was a campaign designed for One Life Surf School that received merits in the categories of Best Out of Home Single and Best Out of Home Campaign. Colour also took home awards for Best Identity/Logo, Best Poster, and Best Newspaper Single.
This year’s ICE gala was especially rewarding for Colour as the agency’s Senior Creative Director and VP, Brian Hickling, co-chaired the ICE committee and various Colour and CCL Group staffers were involved in the event’s planning.
"I think the best part is the new faces we have going to the podium," says Hickling. "Winning these awards is a team effort, and from a total awards perspective, we had the most!"
Colour is very pleased with their showing at this year's ceremony and is eager to have the opportunity to showcase recently developed work at next year's ICE Awards.
